How to Lower Your printing Cost-per-card

Print In Bulk.  (detailed explanation) It is wise to "Combo" more than one print job at one time. If you have 3 jobs all using 4 color process, you can add up the total quantity and get a lower cost per card.

In other words, it's less expensive to run one combined order for 6000 cards, than 3 orders of 2000 cards each.  It's a good idea, to run the largest card order you can, and store the cards to use for many years in the future.  They last a long time, and it will drive your cost per card down dramatically.

EXAMPLE # 1 :

• 5000 PVC Plastic cards, (credit card size and thickness)
• 4 colors on the front, 1 on the back
• cost is $0.35 cents ea.

EXAMPLE # 2:

• 5000 Styrene Plastic cards, (credit card size and thickness)
• 4 colors on the front, 1 on the back
• cost is $0.20 cents ea.

Whenever you place an order to have your cards printed, what you are actually paying for is the cost of "Setting up the Press", making a "Plate" from your design, and taking precious "Printing Press Time".

When you order a minimum run of 500 or 1000 cards, you end up paying for running the printing press, and less for the actual card printing at this small quantity.

There may be someone waiting their turn to be on the printing press you are on, that is running a million card order. Because of this, all manufatures prorate all these costs in the price that they quote you.
