New Fargo Model HDP600 High Definition Plastic Card Printer

The HDP600 produces vibrant, full-color, dual-sided cards utilizing Fargo's High Definition Printing technology.

With High Definition Printing, there's never any contact between the print head and card.  Instead, the HDP600 prints images onto the underside of the HDP Film, which is then fused flush to the card through heat and pressure.

This means now you can consistently print over surface irregularities, even to the edge of a smart chip, without damaging the card's electronics or your print head.

In other words, you can print all the way to the edge of the card with no white line around the perimeter. You actually print over the edge of the card. In addition, you also get a sharper, clearer, more defined image.

With the Fargo HDP600, you get perfect printing on technology cards with embedded electronics. With other dye sublimation printers, the print head is in direct contact with the card. When using technology cards with ridges and indentations from smart chips, circuits or antennas, it can cause inconsistent printing and even damage to the print head or the card's electronics.

With the Fargo HDP600 printer, images are printed on the underside of HDP film that is then fused to the card via heat and pressure, which offers consistently perfect results.

Lamination can be included to provide extra protection to your cards. You can add the lamination module and up to 3 encoding technologies at any time.

The Fargo HDP600 printer prints and encodes in a single pass, eliminating the confusion, errors and long lag time that multiple pass printers may contribute.

The HDP600 printer features a reject card hopper, keeping your defective cards separate from your functioning cards. This feature is available with the lamination module.

This Fargo printer is user friendly. Some of it’s features include color-coded supplies for fast loading, an automatic card cleaning mechanism, and an informative LCD panel that tells you what buttons to press, when to load supplies and keeps you updated on  your print job's progress.
